  • Welcome to my blog!

This is more than a collection of images or showcase of my latest work. It is a place to learn more about what inspires me, to read the stories behind the moments and share your thoughts.

I love what I do. I love meeting new people and telling their story through images because everyone has a story to tell. Thanks for visiting and don't be a stranger! Andi

  • BE A FOLLOWER:

Me, in a nutshell

A little about me and my blog

You should love your images, that is a given but you should also like the person shooting those images! A big part of my job is making you comfortable so you can enjoy your shoot and be in the moment. I want you to love your photography experience so I set up this blog as a way to get to know me better and see my most recent work. However,  nothing can replace good old fashion face to face meetings – so enjoy my blog and then let’s get together!

Where I came from and where I’m going

I am a Colorado girl and if Chris and I aren’t here, we are usually visiting my family back in the sunshine state. I am the youngest of three girls and consider myself lucky to have two amazing best friends and big sisters!  I was a student athlete in college (a swimmer at Mizzou) and  I am now married to the love of my life, Chris (also a former swimmer at Mizzou). We live in the wonderful and quaint Brookside neighborhood. I love our 78 year old Tudor home and Chris and I have found a new hobby in remodeling. Just this past summer we finished our kitchen remodel and now are moving on to the sun porch:)  I love thinking of new ways to decorate it or add little pieces that reflect who Chris and I are. I love vintage, slightly used pieces that tell a story combined with simple modern pieces for a unique but homey feel.  We share our house with our little bundle of joy, Kona!

Why Photography?

Photography has always played a part in my life, whether I realized it at the time or not. Growing up, I would flip through all our family albums, loving the memories they conjured up. My parents encouraged and nurtured my creative side, first letting me experiment with their 1970′s canon and then buying me my own for HS graduation. I decided to pursue photography for real in college and majored in photojournalism at the University of Missouri.  I honed my skills under some of the best photographers in the industry and credit them for my style and approach to photography. Out of school I decided to start my business and never looked back!

What Inspires Me?

Inspiration comes in many forms but one particular item that keeps me shooting for the stars is a framed image of the Earth taken from the moon that hangs right above my desk.  My dad gave this picture after attending a business convention and it was signed with well wishes by the astronaut himself. The image sparked my love of photography and the ability to move someone. I love what I do – that I am able to photograph the moments that move people. I am constantly shooting for the moon; in my photography, my marriage and in my life.
