A little about me and my blog
You should love your images, that is a given but you should also like the person shooting those images! A big part of my job is making you comfortable so you can enjoy your shoot and be in the moment. I want you to love your photography experience so I set up this blog as a way to get to know me better and see my most recent work. However, nothing can replace good old fashion face to face meetings - so enjoy my blog and then give me a ring!
Where I came from and where I'm going
I am a Colorado girl and if we aren't here, we are usually visiting my family back in the sunshine state. I am the youngest of three girls which is a whole other blog post in itself. I was a student athlete in college (a swimmer at Mizzou) and I am now married to the love of my life, Chris (also a former swimmer at Mizzou). Last fall, we bought our first house in Kansas City and I love our house! I love thinking of new ways to decorate it or add little pieces that reflect who Chris and I are. I love vintage, slightly used pieces that tell a story. We share our house with our little bundle of joy, Kona!
Why Photography?
Photography has always played a part in my life, whether I realized it at the time or not. Growing up, I Ioved flipping through all our family albums, loving the memories they conjured up. I decided to pursue photography for real in college and take the plunge. I was a photojournalism major and honed my skills under some of the best photographers in the industry. Out of school I decided to start my business and never looked back!
What Inspires Me?
Too much sometimes but one item in particular reminds me everyday to shoot for the moon. Above my desk is a framed image of the Earth, photographed on the moon. I was given this picture when I was 10 by my dad -signed with well wishes by the astronaut himself. And although I knew I would never travel to the moon to take this shot myself; it sparked my love of photography and the ability to move someone. I love what I do - that I am able to photograph the moments that move people. I am constantly shooting for the moon; in my photography, my marriage and in my life.
What are my prices and do I travel?
Good questions, I am glad you asked :)
Like I mentioned earlier, a big part of my photography is getting to know you and establishing a relationship first. To learn more about my wedding packages and portrait prices just email me or fill out the contact form to learn more! I do travel and love to travel for weddings, portraits and events! My travel fees are pretty straight forward and very reasonable so include any travel needs in your email or contact form!
I hope I have answered most of your questions and I hope you now know I little more about me! Thanks for visiting my blog and come again! Andrea
